CommunityCare Day 2018: Portland East & Arbor revitalize neighborhood home

What's Happening at LandCare

Two Portland branches recently teamed up with Rebuilding Together (a local nonprofit) and Greystar Property Management to clean up and enhance the area surrounding a local resident’s home. Eight LandCare team members spent the day mowing lawns, pulling weeds, blowing leaves, and trimming trees to revitalize the landscaping and overall look of the property.

“It was a privilege and pleasure working with Rebuilding Together Portland,” said Aaron Jacobs, Portland East Branch Manager. “They have such a strong history and local reputation, when we were asked if we would like to partner for help on a project, we jumped at the opportunity. There is nothing quite like the feeling of a good hard day’s work and being able to appreciate the fruits of your labor at the end, especially when it is for someone in need. Thank you RTP!”

Wesley White, Senior Service Supervisor for Greystar, facilitated and coordinated the project, and LandCare showed up with able bodies and equipment. Everyone pitched in and played a valuable role. The quick progress was noticed instantly by neighbors and locals alike, who periodically stopped by to share how appreciative they were for the help within their local community.

Rebuilding Together has served the Portland area for over 25 years. Their mission is to improve and enhance the quality of life of low-income homeowners by providing cost-free home repairs to those who are physically or financially disadvantaged.
