Inland Empire partnered with their vendor Horizon on a cool new purchasing option called Horizon Express. Since the branch is not located near the vendor, Horizon thought outside the box and brought the store to the branch.

The hope is that by having these vending machines for common irrigation parts, equipment maintenance items and small tools that it will prevent long trips to the vendor’s brick and mortar store and reduce non production drive time. The machines work on a PO system and are connected through the internet so the branch receives reports and invoices as if they had gone into the store to purchase.

Purchasing Manager Heath Horman and IT Operations Manager Brent Cates were amazing in helping Inland Empire get connected to these new systems. The branch is expecting this new technology to helps them stay focused on delighting their customers by serving them faster and more efficiently!
