LandCare branches in Orange County and San Clemente teamed up to revitalize a vegetable and butterfly garden for Bobbie Smith Elementary in Long Beach, CA. The gardens are part of a gardening club that uses the space for active outdoor time and healthy eating education. Six LandCare team members plus family spent the day cleaning up the area, removing overgrown grass and weeds, and installing raised bed planters for vegetable gardening. The team also planted tomatoes and herbs to help start the garden.

This project is phase one of several rebuilds to be completed throughout the year in conjunction with the YMCA.
