Chateau Elan

Hotels & Resorts

Spanning 3,500 acres of rolling hills and wooded forests, Chateau Elan is north Georgia’s premier destination resort. A favorite for weekend getaways, corporate retreats, and everything in between, this sprawling property features stunning outdoor event spaces, multiple restaurants, 45 holes of golf, professionally managed tennis courts, a world-class spa, and more.

Over the past five years, the resort has undergone significant redesigns of the landscape, golf course, and vineyard. The client holds a high standard regarding maintenance and expects the landscape to complement the French country-style estate.

Challenges

Our team was tasked with redesigning and installing the main entrance to the property, spa, and golf clubhouse. Prior to the redesign, the resort was clean and green but lacked color and functionality; it was an uninviting landscape that didn’t match the style of the grounds.

The vineyard and winery are main features at Chateau Elan, and our maintenance work cannot interfere with the growing process.

Solutions

We completely transformed the main entrance and spa, adding seasonal color in the front flower bed, colorful potted arrangements, adirondack chairs near the vineyard, tables with additional seating, and canopy trees to shade the space. Our team also added seasonal color to the entrance of the golf clubhouse. These enhancements not only added bursts of much-needed color to the landscape but also encouraged guests to enjoy the natural beauty of the grounds. Providing the extra seating areas allows visitors to truly immerse themselves in nature.

We maintain a constant line of communication with the head winemaker and keep him informed of our maintenance schedules. We work around the growing season and will sometimes help with vineyard maintenance, if requested.
