The LandCare San Diego branch and corporate office gathered for a beach cleanup at Fiesta Island, one of the county’s most underserved but highly trafficked beaches. The 23 LandCare volunteers spent four hours cleaning up debris and recording it so the data could be used by I Love a Clean San Diego, a non-profit organization dedicated to minimizing pollution within the county.

The LandCare team ended the day having collected 250 pounds of trash, including dangerous materials like glass and rusty metal objects that could be harmful to beachgoers.
