Sustainability Initiative

Committed to a greener future

As stewards of our environment, LandCare is improving the way we perform our services to reduce the impact we have on climate change and our limited natural resources.

Our commitment to leading sustainability lies in the reduction of our carbon footprint, waste reduction and increased recycling, the judicious use of fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides, and proactively providing water-wise alternatives to clients.

Water Conscious

With the need to conserve our most precious resource, our teams work with clients to develop solutions to reduce water usage and strategies to reuse water on properties when possible.

Waste Reduction

Working to alleviate the strain on landfills and the impact of moving green waste, we employ equipment and processes to reduce waste from our operations and partner with recyclers to create organic compost with the debris our sites produce.

Reducing our Carbon Footprint

LandCare is #LeadingTheCharge by reducing our carbon emissions and the use of fossil fuels through the electrification of equipment and fleet vehicles.

Our carbon reduction strategy focuses on five primary categories that we have deemed major contributors to LandCare’s Scope 1/direct carbon emissions.

We are employing battery-powered alternatives in each category and are migrating our fleet with a goal to be carbon neutral by 2030. This shift has enabled our branches to reduce Scope 1/direct carbon emission outputs now, positively impacting the communities we serve and leading our industry in solving the challenges of fleet and equipment migration to cleaner alternatives.

Electrification of Fleet & Equipment Includes:

Such as string trimmers, leaf blowers, and hedge
trimmers.

Such as standing and riding mowers.

Such as tractors and gators.

Which include sedans and small SUVs.
